The key to the success of Land Forces is full freedom of manoeuvre and action. In the modern Land environment, this is heavily reliant on dominance in the Information Domain. A balanced portfolio of Cyber and Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA) increases the chance of mission success, but in a world where technology evolves and changes so rapidly, keeping up is the challenge.

This challenge is particularly prevalent when mitigating improvised threats, with IEDs and drones being key. Here at EWS, we focus on providing the mission data needed to conduct CEMA against improvised threats now and on the horizon.

We call it Mission Data for Improvised Threats – MD4IT for short, and we see it as a role that is now as important in the Land environment as it has been for decades in Air and Maritime platform protection.
