Kenya – IEDs and RC BME found in Garissa County

Counter Terrorism Policing Kenya on 2 January 2024, conducted a search operation against Al-Shabaab militants in Garissa County, Kenya. Along the Alango-Saretho road, the team recovered two IEDs, as well as RC BME including three Honest 6220 ZR receivers and a remote control. It is reported that an Al-Shabaab explosives expert was arrested while other members were able to escape, despite being injured.
