Iran-Pakistan – Operation Marg Bar Samachar

On the 16 January 2024, Iran launched a drone attack on Pakistan in Koh-e-Sabz. State-run media claimed that the strikes targeted bases linked to the militant group Jaish al Adl, although the incident resulted in five civilian casualties. Pakistan's foreign ministry later issued a statement condemning the offensive on its Baluchistan province.

In retaliation, Pakistan launched Operation Marg Bar Sarmachar.  A ‘precision attack’ using drones, rockets, loitering munitions and stand-off weapons targeted terrorist hideouts in the Sistan and Baluchistan Province of Iran. It is reported that the strikes resulted in nine fatalities.
