Russia – FSB foiled an IED attack in Samara Oblast

On 26 March 2024, the Federal Security Service (FSB) successfully foiled an IED attack in Samara Oblast, Russia. A member of the Russian Volunteer Corps, self-detonated an IED intended for a humanitarian aid site in Samara Oblast, resulting in his death.

A subsequent search of the perpetrator’s residence uncovered a laboratory used to produce homemade explosives and IED components. Plus, an additional ready-to-use RCIED, with fragmentation taped to the outside container, and a mobile phone secured to the top.
