Black Sea – Ukrainian Magura V5 USVs sink the Russian patrol ship Sergei Kotov
On 5 March 2024, the Ukrainian Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) confirmed that they were able to successfully sink the Sergei Kotov.
According to media accounts, the ship was destroyed in the Black Sea by five Magura V5 USVs (Uncrewed Surface Vehicles). The Magura V5 USVs have a payload capacity of approximately 200 kg of explosive material.
As a result of the 40-minute attack, the Sergei Kotov had been destroyed and subsequently sunk into the Black Sea.
