Ukraine – Zala UAV intercepted northeast of Ochakiv

The Ukrainian State Border Guard Service (DPSU) reported that a Russian UAV was intercepted over Ochakiv, Mykolaiv Raion, on 12 June 2024.

The fixed-wing UAV was identified as a Zala 421-16E that was conducting reconnaissance in the area. Video footage released by DPSU showed a first-person view (FPV) UAV being used to target and successfully intercept the Zala UAV.

Similar events of UAVs being used to intercept other UAVs, including Zala, Lancet, DJI Mavic 3 and a Perun have been recorded on OverSite.
