Ukraine – SBU uncovers a plot using IEDs in Ukraine

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) foiled a series of attacks at three different supermarkets in Kiev on 9 May 2024. Nineteen IEDs were found at the scene.

Each with an electrical timer, detonator, and plastic explosives with an incendiary mixture, enclosed in a tea container. The perpetrators were detained and sentenced to life imprisonment. All IEDs were rendered safe in a controlled detonation.
