Pakistan – RCIED targeting foreign diplomats in Swat District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province

On 22 September 2024, an RCIED targeted a convoy of foreign diplomats from Indonesia, Portugal, Kazakhstan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Turkmenistan, Vietnam, Iran, Russia and Tajikistan in Malam Jabba, Pakistan. As a result of the explosion, a policeman was killed and four others were injured.

The route was reportedly cleared by the bomb disposal unit, and since only the police knew the exact route, there have been conjectures regarding possible security breaches. Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TPP) denied involvement in the attack.
