Armed Forces Week – cake sale raises money for the Felix Fund Bomb Disposal Charity

Phew, it was a hot day to try on a full Bomb Suit but we had some takers!
Everyone at EWS had so much fun at our charity cake sale today as part of the Armed Forces Week.
Lots of yummy cakes were made and bought, all raising money for the Felix Fund – the bomb disposal charity. In fact we raised £210 on the day with hopefully more to come shortly.
Several brave souls also tried on our Bomb Suit, which is no easy feat given both its weight and the very warm, muggy day we had too.
Bear, the Harlaxton Estates office dog already had a warm, woolly coat on, so we think he was happy that we didn’t have a K-9 bomb suit handy for him to try on!
Thank you to everyone for coming along, helping to raise lots of money for a very worthy cause and, of course, eating the cakes too! And grateful thanks go to Tez from the Gatehouse Coffee Shop for her support too.
