India – multiple UAVs smuggling heroin in rural village

Three smuggling attempts have been intercepted in the village of Chhanga Rai Hithar, Ferozepur District, by Border Security Force Punjab and Punjab Police since 10 February 2024.

The shipments of heroin, totalling a combined weight of over 1.5 kg, were each wrapped in yellow tape and had a glowstick attached. The glowstick allows the perpetrators to locate the package when operating at night.

Most recently, on 21 February 2024, a DJI Mavic 3 was intercepted attempting to remotely deliver a package.
