Ukraine – Russian VT-40 OWA FPV UAVs targeting vehicles in Kurakhove

Attacks involving the VT-40 UAVs have significantly increased in 2024, since their mass production in the summer of 2023. The UAV was implemented with the active support of the Sudoplatov ‘Judgment Day’ project, which is designed to train FPV operators to perform combat missions. 

On 13 October 2024, several Russian Armed Forces VT-40 OWA FPV UAVs targeted vehicles near Kurakhove. Multiple videos published by the Pavel Sudoplatov Battalion depict shaped charges with contacts attached to the VT-40.
