USA – NYPD recovers arsenal of IEDs from New York apartment

New York Police Department (NYPD) recovered an arsenal of IEDs and various weapons from a Queens residence on 17 January 2024.

In total, eight IEDs each consisting of an aluminium can and a fuse were seized. Also found was one partially constructed victim operated IED, designed to be initiated by a trip wire.

The NYPD noted that a radio set was also located in the apartment, tuned to the frequency of the 114th Precinct in Astoria. Two brothers were arrested at the scene and if convicted, could each face up to 25 years in prison.
