USA – UAV found remotely delivering narcotics in Bennetsville

On 17 November 2023, deputies from the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office located a DJI Inspire 2 UAV. The drone was found inside of the trunk of a vehicle after a traffic stop nearby Evans Correctional Institution, Bennettsville.

It is reported that the UAV was intending to be used to remotely deliver a package containing 100g of marijuana and 55g of methamphetamine into the prison. Two people have been arrested and charged in relation to the incident.
