Russia – UAV attack on oil refinery in Yaroslavl
On the 17 March 2024, Russian Governor Mikhail Yevrayev issued a statement regarding a UAV attack in Yaroslavl, Russia.
A total of five UAVs flew towards the oil refinery, of which four UAVs were intercepted using a combination of EW, air defence systems and small arms. It was revealed that one of the UAVs comprised of a 50 kg explosive warhead.
Images of the wreckage show a long-range OWA UAV, referred to as the ‘Lyutty’, which has previously targeted other oil refineries.
