20,000 recorded UxV Events on EWS’ OverSite Database

EWS UxV database (OverSite) has recorded it’s 20,000th event in May 2026. OverSite is an unclassified global database relied upon for data on events involving the use of unmanned vehicles encompassing unmanned aerial, ground, surface and underwater vehicles (UAVs, USVs, UGVs and UUVs). 
OverSite stands as an indispensable resource for military, law enforcement, as well as Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) sites facing UxV threats. Access to detailed technical data from OverSite’s comprehensive UxV Technical catalogue, enables the design of more effective countermeasures and the identification of current and emerging threats.

20,000 OverSite Event
The 20,000th event on OverSite recorded an attack against a marked UN humanitarian aid convoy travelling between Kherson and Ostriv on 14 May 2026. Footage circulating on a Russian Telegram channel showed two OWA fibre optic FPV UAVs, targeting United Nations vehicles. The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) stated that the convoy was ‘severely damaged by [the] two drone strikes’.

This incident is one of a series of attacks affecting aid workers and humanitarian operations. On the same day, a RuAF UAV targeted a World Central Kitchen (WCK) vehicle delivering meals in Kherson, Ukraine. No casualties were reported in either incident, although vehicles were damaged. Andrii Sybiha, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has called on the United Nations and its member states to condemn the attack.
